BEST SQUARE FORMAT INSTAX CAMERA, MANY SHOOTING MODES, SELFIE MIRROR, TIMER, TRIPOD MOUNT. FILM CAN BE EXPENSIVE.

BOTTOM LINE:

The SQ6 is for those looking for a larger print format or those looking to replicate a traditional square Polaroid photo. At $105 USD it is on the upper end of the Instax camera price range and appeals to those looking to take more than a few photos. Not as gimmicky as the SQ10 and SQ20 which also have a digital image component. Controls may be over complicated for small children.

Pros:

- Large Format Film

- Great Image Quality

- Several Shooting Modes

- Timer, Tripod Mount & Selfie Mirror

- Best In Class Battery Life (300 Photos)

- Available in Six (6) Colors

Cons:

- High Cost ($105 USD)

- High Film Cost ($0.95 USD/image)

SHORT REVIEW:

The Fuji Instax SQ6 is the only analog square format Instax camera. Packed with features it includes a selfie mirror, tripod mount, timer, flash and several useful shooting modes (selfie, macro, landscape & double exposure). This is the go to camera for those looking to replicate a traditional Polaroid square format print. The SQ6 allows you to turn off the flash and also adjust the exposure manually. The SQ6 also uses two (2) CR2 batteries good for 300 photos. Those considering this camera should also consider the price of the film at nearly $1.00 USD per photo. For comparison Instax Mini format film is only $0.65 USD per photo.
